Manufacturers – Enterprise Minnesota held the Executive Manufacturing Forum on February 11, 2020. We gathered to celebrate Minnesota manufacturing, heard about future business trends, learned solutions to grow your company and gained ideas to navigate around workforce challenges.
At this event, our keynote speaker was Mark Haveman, Executive Director of the Minnesota Center for Fiscal Excellence. His presentation, titled “Heaven or Hell: Will the Real Minnesota Business Climate Please Stand Up” was a real eye-opener for the current state of business in Minnesota. It provided excellent analytical insights into the tax and business climate in Minnesota compared to the nation as a whole.
In addition, we saw excellent presentation from three Enterprise Minnesota consulting experts about how to think holistically about growing your business. Abbey Hellickson, Steve Haarstad and Greg Langfield took us through “Five Solutions for Growing Profitably”. In this presentation, our consultants explored tips, techniques and lessons for manufacturers to be able to engage their workforce and work on the business, not in the business.
After that, our executive manufacturing panelists discussed ways that they are managing their business and what they are experiencing in the industry. Moderated by Bob Kill, the panel presentation provided valuable insights for how industry-leading companies and organizations are preparing for future growth. Panelists at the Executive Manufacturing Forum included Tim Herold, president & CEO of , Joe Mulford, president of , Greggory Phelps, president & CEO of and Joe Plunger, CEO/owner of .
Thank you to all of our manufacturing guests that spent their morning with us. We look forward to continuing the conversation about growing manufacturing in our great state.
